It is not that mine is better, I took about 30 shots to get this one, The wonder of Digital photography. LOL. Greatly appreciate the fave, I as you, enjoy wildlife photography and spend a lot of time out there.
The trick is, while waiting for the one moment, find something to photograph. I shoot a lot of flowers and insects. I even take pics of rocks. All the while learning more about my camera.

This is different than most, I think, because the stalks(?) of the feathers are much more visible than normal, and it's a nice fan pattern
